My dealership service department representative told me that anyone with an ELR built before February has a software update available, announced in technical service bulletin PI1126B. So if you're having any issues with the C.U.E. system or the ELR's HIM (human interface module) in general, this may address them. It's not a recall; just an incremental improvement to the software that corrects some early bugs. Probably good to do in conjunction with your first tire rotation (if you can wait that long).

Cadillac announced a recall today:

http://www.motorauthority.com/news/1091 ... l-software

It's because the car is partially out of compliance with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 126, "Electronic Stability Control Systems" because the car’s electronic stability control (ESC) system may inhibit certain ESC diagnostics, which in turn may cause the system to fail in alerting the driver when the ESC is either partially or fully disabled.

So nothing dangerously wrong with the car, other than it might not tell you when stability control is disabled.

At first I was concerned, but then I see that it is a 'noncompliance recall' rather than a safety recall, meaning it doesn't meet federal regs, not that it causes the ELR to be dangerous to drive!

Here's the full recall:
